Research And Simulation Of The Two-roll Straighter With A Single Curvature About Roll Shape

With the development of scientific technology and industry like aircraft and war industry, the quality of steel products become more and more important. The finishing is an important process of the rolling process, and straightening is an important and major process of finishing. Because of some kinds of reasons, in the process of heating, rolling, cooling, heat treatment and transportation, bar may have some defaults such as bend of multi-directions. These defaults must be eliminated by straightened in the later process, so that the flat product can be obtained. The two-roller straightening with single curvature has the unique advantage in the Straightening process. First, it can straightening at both ends of the bar and has the high precision and good quality. Second, compared of the other two-rollers straightening, it has a smaller straightening force. At present, the research about two-roller straightening is focused on designing of the roller profile in the world; however, the deeper research on the process of deformation is lacked of. Therefore, it has important practical significance and theoretical value to research on the modify rule of the field variable in the process of the straightening.According to the theory of elastic and elastic-plastic of bar and the characteristics of two roll straightening with single curvature, this text analysis the principle of the two-roll straightening. At the same time, programmed a roll shape parameter system by Visual Basic software and the engineering design personnel can use the system very convenient.This text summarizes some designing of the roll profile such as double curve roller shape, fitting arc shape and three curvature shape and establishes a new roller shape to contact point as research object.Combined with the above two points, this text uses finite element to analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA build the3D model of the two roll straightening, do some simulation about the working process of two roll straightening, and analysis the result to find out the regular pattern of strain and stress during the process, and provides the theoretical guidance for practical application.
