With the rapid development of today’s world economy and the globalization of market, the product of competitive market is increasing, and the requirements of customer for product differentiation and personalization is increasingly urgent. Traditional physical prototypes involved in the process of product development has become increasingly unable to meet the changing market demand for sustainable development. To win in the competition in the market, cutting the development cycles of product, reducing product costs and improving product quality has become the key to the survial and development of business.CNC machine tools has become a core component in advanced manufacturing technology. From a technical sense, accelerating the machine R&D technology will be the key to solve the sustainable development of machine tool manufacturing industry. However, due to the high speed, high precision, high rigidety of development of today’s manufacturing, and more and more complex structure.Therefore, the virtual prototyping technology is needed to import for CNC machine tool enterprises to solve the problems currently facing, this will also be the future trends in machine tool manufacturing.The thesis is based on the virtual prototyping technology, establishing the virtual prototyping model of the CNC drilling and milling machine and accomplishing the simulation analysis.(l).Through the research and analysis of axis linkage CNC drilling and milling machine of total transmission and the overall structure, determine the characteristics of various parts of the structure, role and their assembly. Lastly, completing the3D model of the whole machine through Pro/E software.(2).On the basis of Hertz elastic impact theory, solve the contact force of the gear driving, and find the contact force combined with ansys software to analyze the gear statics. In addition, the contact force is applied in each driving gear axis, obtain all levels of transmission speed and obtain whether the gear transmission is stable compared with the actual speed. (3).ANSYS12.0software is used to analyze dynamic characteristics of the column which is the key components of the machine tool. Obtaining the natural frequency of the work of the machine column and their corresponding shapes in order to provide reliable data for the dynamic design of the column structure of the machine design process. Then column is optimized through changing its structure so as to improve the stiffness of the column.(4).Drilling model is established in DEFORM software. The distribution and variation of the cutting force and cutting temperature is obtained through the simulation of cutting force and cutting temperature. The drilling force and drilling temperature of the spindle speed and depth of cut factor is determined through simulation of different spindle speed and cutting depth.(5).Processing module on UG6.0software is used for milling and drilling machining of a workpiece, processing simulation and outputting the NC program. Then simplified machine modle is imported into the VERICUT7.0software, building virtual CNC simulation machine, reading into the output of the NC program for milling and drilling simulation.
