With the rapid development of advanced manufacturing technology, people pay moreattention to its main feature that high-speed cutting and high precision processing. The keyfactors in achieving high speed cutting and high precision processing are high-speed,high-precision CNC machines. The motor spindle unit because of its high speed and fastresponse has become a core feature of high-end CNC machine and key technologies. Thepermanent magnet synchronous motor spindles because of its less heat, high efficiency, lowvibration and noise, speed a wide range of precise control and easy to achieve precise control,has become the main research direction. Therefore, this article will study on theelectromagnetic force harmonic generation mechanism of the permanent magnet synchronousmotor spindles(PMSMS), and through the finite element method to research the effect ofelectromagnetic force harmonic on vibration characteristics.Radial electromagnetic force and its harmonics is a major cause of PMSMS vibration andnoise, and the radial electromagnetic force depends on its air gap flux density. This paper willuse transient finite element method to analyze and calculate three different magnetic polestructures of PMSMS models in order to find out the optimal flux density. The air gap fluxdensities varying with position and time are obtained, then the radial electromagnetic force onthe inner surface of stator and cogging torque could be got by Maxwell stress tensorial method,and the harmonic analysis is conducted. For the purpose of solving the vibration and noiseproblems and improving the working accuracy and ride quality. This paper will analyzedifferent structural parameters of8-block-4-pole interior PMSMS, and calculate its air gapflux density, electromagnetic force and cogging torque. Then the relationship curve betweenthem and the parameters will be described. The relationship curve between theelectromagnetic force harmonic and the parameters also will be described, in order to find theoptimal parameters of the vibration characteristics.
