Aluminum has gradually become the main material instead of steel in theautomotive lightweight project with low density, corrosion resistance, high recoveryrate, etc. However, because of the poor formability of aluminum alloy sheet, theforming experience of aluminum alloy sheet can’t directly learn from that of steel sheet.It is important to research the material property and stamping performance ofaluminum alloy sheet.In this paper, in order to analyze the material properties of6016aluminum alloy indifferent aging state, owe aging, entirely artificial aging and over aging state6016T6aluminum alloy are researched by the microstructure observing, hardness testing,mechanical testing and so on. Then combined with the bake-hardening property ofsheet metal, the stamping performance of6016aluminum alloy in different aging stateis analyzed.Works described in this paper are as follows:(1) The material property of6016aluminum alloy in different state is tested, andstamping performance of the aluminum alloy is estimated according to the impact ofmaterial performance parameters on the formability of steel;(2) Research on the sheet bake hardening properties. By baking the material in hightemperature short time, the performance characteristics of the6016aluminum alloy indifferent state is analyzed;(3) The stamping formability of aluminum alloy6016in different state werecompared by performance indicators of bulge forming, deep drawing, forming ofauxetic;(4) The6016aluminum alloy in different aging state are used in specific stampingprocess to select the optimal aging state6016aluminum alloy for the actualproduction.
