Sonogashira coupling reactions as an important organic celebrity has beenwidely applied to the reaction of preparing drug molecules, polymers, small organicmolecules.People are still paying attention to improve the traditional catalytic systemto a more environmentally and friendly catalytic system. In recent years, people haveconstantly reported Pd (II), Pd (0) complexes to catalyze the Sonogashira couplingreaction with the recovery and recycling of palladium catalyst. There has also beenreported different materials been used to carry the nano-palladium.However, thesupported catalysts just been applied in the Sonogashira coupling reaction ofiodobenzene or activated bromobenzene with terminal alkyne and the reused of thesupported nano metal catalyst also been affected by the carriers. Therefore, thedevelopment of other new carriers which can enhance the nano catalyst activity andimprove recycles is very important.According to investigation of the extensive literature, this work has explored thenano-porous carbon-loaded palladium catalyst in catalytic Sonogashira couplingreactions. With respect to previously reported:polystyrene、silica、activated carbon andother polymer materials, porous carbon with a vesicle loaded structure, huge surfacearea has a good adsorption performance so that the carbon materials can be used as agood nano catalyst supporter. We have used the nano-porous carbon as the carrier ofnano-palladium and established catalytic system used water as the solvent.Thiscatalytic system was green and environmentally which applied to synthesize diarylalkyne. While iodobenzene、bromobenzene or chlorobenzene can be applicable in thecoupling of Sonogashira reaction. On the basis of this reaction system, we also investigated the recycle of thecatalyst. We studied the recycles of the catalyst in the water catalytic systems, thecatalyst has been repeated four times and still remained high catalytic activity. Whilethe structure of the nano-porous carbon did not effect by the recycling. Therefore, we believe that have established a new Sonogashira coupling systemwith nano-porous carbon loaded nano-palladium.The catalyst can catalyzeSonogashira coupling reaction more greener.
