Face to the active demand of the high-intensitive Micro structures/components in high temperature environment in Aerospace, energy, biological medicine, electronic science and technology.Point to the problems--tools easily wear,wear mechanism complicated, tools wear effecting the parts surface quality and hard to indicate the micro tools’ wear--caused by the microscopic structure complex, high strength, high hardness,contains lots of hard spots of the nickel based alloy during the micro milling.Micro tools’ wear mechanism and the relationship between the tool wear and the processing surface roughness during the micro milling have been researched,and also study the relationship between cutting force and the degree of the tool wear.The main researches in this paper are as follows:Firstly,based on the micro machine tool which is builded at the early age, single factor experiments of the micro milling nickel based alloy have been carried out.The time is the simple Variable in these experiments.After that,the forms of the cuttings’ wear/damage, mechanism of the wear/damage during the cutting processes have been observed and researched,and also it lays a theoretical foundation for later study.Secondly,based on the single factor experiment,surface topography during the processes have been discussed.Despite its formation mechanism and its relationship with the tool wear has also been researched.Lately,the orthogonal experiments have been launched. Based on these,the relationship between the cutting parameters,cutting time and the tool wear have been analyzed;the relationship between tool wear and surface roughness has been analyzed and set up the model of the surface roughness considering the tool wear using BP neural network.Lastly.a tool wear minority system has been builded.Use cutting force to represent the tool wear condition and build the minority model of the tool wear.The researches in this paper could provide technical support and give some references to the high quality micro milling nickel based alloys process as one facet of the micro milling technology of the nickel based alloy.The results of the researches could expand the micro milling technology and have some engineering practical values on improving the capability to process the nickel based alloys’micro structures/components.Also,the research approaches could give some references on micro milling technology on difficult-to-process materials.
