The partial W-type ventilation system is especially effective in solving the problem of coal mining top corner gas accumulation, and is very applicable for high-gas or gas outburst coal face. Three gateway are parallel arranged in the mining sector then formed partial W-type working face. Because of different arrangement forms of mining gateway and characteristics of surrounding rock, the deformation mechanism of which is different from other types of roadway.The paper regard mining gateway of the150405working face of Duanwang mining as the research object and uses the methods of theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and field measurement to set up the mechanical analysis model to analyze the stress state of coal pillar and the floor heave mechanism of return airway. Using FLAC3D has simulated the stress statement and displacement variation of return air roadway in the process of tunneling and mining, it conclude that the floor heave obviously in the process of tunneling and mining in return air roadway, both side of return airway have difference damage, the side close to the coal pillar is affected by multiple abutment pressure that its stress is larger, and the displacement and failure is obvious, so another should be reinforced.Based on the analysis of mining gateway deformation mechanism and strata behaviors, determine the best way to support of roadway. Taking different design for the two side supporting parameters according to the different damage degrees of two side of return air roadway. use the FRP bolt which is special safety in high-gas coal seam instead of the original metal bolt. The results of numerical simulation and field measurement show that the design scheme is reasonable and reliable, and provide the theory and practice basis for the application of surrounding rock control in this area of extraction roadway partial W-type working face.
