The blast furnace tuyere is an important part of the ironmaking,its service lifeis the key to obtaining high yield. A part of the blast furnace tuyere is in the blast innormal work, and it’s in the place which is called the cyclotron area. Its workingenvironment is very bad, and it is destroyed not only by the high temperature hotwind, but also the high speed and lipuid iron slag. Tuyere damaging forms aremelting, damaging, cracking and wearing, the melting form is the importantdamaging form of more than80%. This paper is centered around improving theservice life of tuyere,simulating the temperature field and flow field of the tuyerewith CFD software, and optimizing its structure.This paper is based on the actual working environment and the specific size oftuyere, analysising the draught cooling process simulation and main parameters onthe cooling effect with Fluent software. The temperature field of tuyere distribution isthat the highest temperature is in the forefront of tuyere for the worst environment,the temperature of face which is contact with the furnace wall is lower, while theminimum temperature at the rear. The tuyere is destroyed mainly because thatinstantaneous temperature is too high, and the highest temperature is always in thefront, so the distribution and size of the front face tuyere is the most important, how toreduce its temperature is the focus of this paper; The heat of tuyere is taken away bycooling water, so the cooling water has a great influence on the cooling effection, thelower flow rate, the greater highest temperature, the temperature of water has also acertain influence, the lower the temperature,the better the cooling effecting. Bysimulating with the presence of scale of temperature field, and find that the presenceof scale leads to the rising of temperature,and if the scale thickness was more than0.4mm,the temperature would exceed the allowable temperature. Therefore, themeasures to prevent the formation of scale or remove scale is very important. Bysimulating the temperature field of tuyere, and find that ceramic is good for thetuyere and will help to improve its service life.Based on the simulation results, I give a better structure and simulate theimproved tuyere, the result is that the improved tuyere is originally has better heatdissipation characteristics, improvemence is effective.
