The demands of vanadium products is higher and higher in some industriessuch as aerospace aviation, electronics, electrochemical industry with the broadeningof the application field of vanadium. But in industrial production, the purity of V2O5from traditional vanadium precipitation with ammonium salt unable to furtherenhance after roasting. Therefore, it has a great significance that rasearching theimpact of impurity ions in vanadium precipitation with acidic ammonium salt andhow to eliminate the influence of impurity ions.Stripping solution, obtained one-step of vanadium extraction process from stonecoal which was took from somewhere in Hubei Province, was the raw material in thestudy of precipitation of vanadium by acidic ammonium. The best conditions ofvanadium precipitation with acidic ammonium salt was confirmed in the study. Andby researching the behavior of impurity ions in the process of the simulated stripliquor vanadium precipitation with acidic ammonium salt, the influence mechanismon impurity ions in vanadium precipitation with acidic ammonium salt was acquired.According to the influence of impurity ions mechanism, the study made the finalmethod of removing aluminum and obtained the V2O5products subject to thenational standard metallurgical grade99.Then come to the conclusion that when8%H2SO4was to be the strippingagent, the vanadium concentration and pH wre determined to be19.91g/L,-0.18,precipitation time was accepted about one-hour, temperature of precipitation wasdetermined to be above70℃,2.0was created the optimal amount of vanadiumprecipitation pH, and stirring intensity was limited to400r/min. In this condition,the vanadium precipitation rate can be as high as99.27%, and ammoniumpolyvanadate purity can also go to about98.45%.Research has shown that: in addition to the Fe, P and Al on the precipitation is significantly influenced the rate of vanadium, the effect of other ions on vanadiumrate is very small. Fe, Al, Ca, K, Na, P can seriously affect vanadium products APVcrystal morphology and the purity of V2O5. Fe, Mg, Al, Ca, Na, P can change thecolor of the product V2O5. Meanwhile, Fe, Al, P, will change the pH of the motherliquor and the cost of the dispose of mother liquor will be increased.Ammonia was used to remove aluminum in the strip liquor and the bestcondition is: the pH of aluminum removing was confirmed to be1.6, time waslimited to10hours. Under the condition, the removal rate of aluminum come to65.20%. After removing the aluminum, vanadium precipitation and roasting,99%V2O5products can be abtained finally.
