Rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF) as an important family of polyurethaneproducts, due to its low cost and simple manufacturing process, the late plasticity,and the product obtained superior, with uniform pore structure, low density,excellent mechanical properties and other characteristics. Therefore widely used inthe wall insulation, packaging, automotive parts etc.The main contents of this thesis is the use of the whole water preparation ofrigid polyurethane foam technology, systematic comparison of the main raw andauxiliary materials of the preparation of RPUF, and system of performancecharacterization of them. Thus provides experimental basis for the industrialpreparation of RPUF production. On the basis of the preparation of RPUF, furtherstudy the effects of different flame retardants and synthetic flame-retardantproperties of RPUF.The second chapter is preparation of RPUF. Through the water foamingtechnology, and comparing the effects of various raw materials of PU rigid foam.Compared the two kinds of “prepolymer” and four amine catalysts, choose thesuitable for this experiment of prepolymer-wanhua PM200and aminecatalyst-triethanolamine. And a detailed comparison of the several kinds of inorganicadditives on the density of RPUF, compression strength, thermal stability and theinfluence of compression type variable.The third chapter is preparation of retardant RPUF. Mainly investigates theflame retardant polyether addition and TCPP, DMMP,909of these commercialflame retardant additions effect on the properties of RPUF. And using phosphorusoxychloride, pentaerythritol, melamine, dicyandiamide synthesis a kind of flameretardant named SPDPMN, based on the characterization of the flame retardant andcan be found after added to RPUF, when adding amount was15%, the residual rateincreased from6.2%to22.5%, after burning can form dense carbon layer, oxygenindex can reach28.6%, fire rating to V-0level.
