In order to get a better flame retardant processing of flame retardant reconstituted bamboo, wecompared the properties of reconstituted bamboo with the properties of flame retardant reconstitutedbamboo. The properties include physical and mechanical properties, flame retardant and smokesuppression properties, thermal stability and the pyrolysis process.The results are as follows:(1) Our experiment used both thick and thin bamboo strips as the materials of reconstituted bamboo,to explore process parameters by using single factor experiment method, impact on physical andmechanical properties of recombinant bamboo.The results showed that: the use of a mixedconcentration of30%for2hours flame retardant which is made of diammonium phosphate (DAP):boric acid=6:4and thick bamboo can make recombinant bamboo superior performance and high drugloading.(2) Using cone calorimeter determination explored flame retardant properties of the treated bambooand the untreated. Comparing flame retardant properties and the smoke suppression of the treatedbamboo with the untreated,which indicated: The mixed concentration of30%for4hours have goodflame retardant properties and good smoke suppression.By contrast the mixed concentration of30%for2hours is a little worse than the mixed concentration of30%for4hours.(3) Using muffle furnace and TG explored the thermal stability of the treated bamboo and theuntreated in different calcining time and different temperature. The results showed that:after burned theresidue weight of the treated bamboo increase. The treated bamboo using the mixed concentration of30%for4hours has the best thermal stability and the treated bamboo using the mixed concentration of30%for2hours is a little worse than it.(4) Using GC-DC and so on explored the treated bamboo and the untreated bamboopyrolysis.Bamboo is decomposed into gas and solid in different temperature finding the relationshipbetween the gas and the temperature and the relationship between the solid and the temperature.
