In the modern organic synthesis, the formation of C=O bonds is an extremelyimportant synthetic method. However, in present the majority of the syntheticmethods have many shortcomings such as the high price of raw material, the noblemetal catalyst and serious pollution and so on. The development and applicationresearch of the methods of green catalytic synthesis is becoming more and morepopular. So the high efficiency, green, simple method to synthesis of C=O compoundsis becoming particularly important. The paper will study the green methods of etherand its applications in the synthesis of ether, moreover, this thesis is composed of thefollowing two parts:1. the study of the reaction of Aryl Halides and Phenols forSynthesis of Diaryl Ethers Promoted by CsOH/DMSO.2. the research of a greenmethod for synthesis and applications of alcohols reaction for ethers. In the first part, based on the study of a large number of literatures, we developeda kind of Aryl Halides and Phenols for Synthesis of Diaryl Ethers Promoted byCsOH/DMSO.The reactions of aryl halides with phenols promoted by CsOH/dimethylsulfoxide (CsOH/DMSO) led to diaryl ethers. This method was free of transitionmetal catalysts and ligands, and could be performed without inert gas protection. Therefore, it was a concise and green synthetic method. Based on the experimentalresults, a mechanism involved the benzyne was proposed. In the second part, we reviewed the research progress of the methods of thesynthesis of ethers through alcohols and developed a new catalyst halogenatedhydrocarbon. In this experiment, the method was free of acid and metal, justhalogenated hydrocarbon was needed to promote the synthetic of aliphatic ethersthrough reaction of alcohols. The reaction conditions is mild, and the by-productsof the process involved the whole reaction was only water. Therefore, it is a veryenvironmental and green synthetic method. Besides, the reaction mechanism was alsostudied.
