A Study On Applications Of Flat Embroidery In Knitting Fashion Design

As the traditional culture comes back, more and more handicrafts are brought to ourattention, and are integrated with fashion design. As a basic technique in embroidery, FlatEmbroidery is highly flexible and widely applied. However, the complicated structure line andnumerous structure line are not applicable to knitting due to the unique property of fabric.Therefore, the combination of Flat Embroidery and knitting will bring novel perspective andunique design of details. In this research, category, character, and basic outline of FlatEmbroidery are investigated. The character of knitting and the uniqueness of knitting fabric arealso analyzed. Finally, the application of Flat Embroidery in the novel design of knitting isdiscussed. Aims to use modern idea mining embroidered advantages, the use of embroideredornament stitches, ornament patterns, and ornament craft combination of knitted fabrics,embroidered application enhance the added value of knitted garments.
