The separation of magnesium and silicon and iron from FengCheng of Liaoningprovince boron magnesium ore tailings was achieved by sulfuric acid leaching.Refined magnesium sulfate solution was obtained by purification of filtrate; whilewater glass was prepared from residue after extracting magnesium from serpentine ore.Magnesium silicate,magnesium hydroxide and white carbon was respectivelyprepared from refined magnesium sulfate solution and water glass. The environmentalanalysis were also taken. The main results of experiments were as follows:(1) Boron magnesium ore tailings particle size is2.5um, Arrange the orthogonalexperiment,a4(40%)、b4(4h)、c4(100℃)、d4(8) Magnesium oxide leaching rate for theoptimal parameters of the evaluation process,the peak of leaching rate of96.56%.(2)The optimum conditions of preparing magnesium hydroxide from FengChengserpentine were determined by experiment the quality of magnesium hydroxideobtained in the optimum conditions is up to the standards of the of theHG/T3067-2000. Magnesium recovery was75.8%, Magnesium oxide content of67.8%.The decomposition process starts at about350℃and reaches a constant massloss of30.8%.When the calcination temperature increases from400to600℃,Mg(OH)2decomposes to MgO, from spHerical like to plate-like particles.Mg(OH)2decomposes completely at550℃for10min and the activity of MgOreaches a maximum value of83.6mg/g. SEM observation the finalthermally-decomposed samples are well dispersed and their averageparticle size isless than0.5μm.The quality of active magnesium oxide obtained in the optimumconditions is up to the standards of the HG-T2573-94.(3)Precipitation ammonia oxidation iron oxide red was prepared for reactiontemperature of55℃for considering the high temperature ammoniavolatilization.Considering the separation Fe3+、Mg2+. In PH1.5to5.2.Iron oxide redis tabular crystal,calcination temperature increases with the grain size.In the600℃calcination after sample has good dispersion and the average particle size less than2microns.by analyzing the quality of iron oxide red products as a result, it is concludedthat iron oxide red products mainly product quality in line with H001-04standard(first class).(4) In the optimum conditions, the quality of white carbon is up to the standards of the chemical industry,HG/T3061-1999.The content of silicon dioxide reaches91%;the total recovery rate of silicon dioxide in serpentine reaches88.4%.The product ofwhite carbon is characterized by XRD and SEM,It shows that the structure of whitecarbon is amorphous,its shape is nearly spherical. It is the superfine power the averagepore size is about1.3μm.(5)The FengCheng boron magnesium ore tailings environmental analysis showsthat it nearly has no waste pollution production in the productive process.It is acleaner production process.
