The rapid development of China’s economy and continuously push forward the industrialization process, leading to a growing amount of sewage every year, increased pressure on the environment and exacerbating the water crisis. The main focus of our sewage treatment concentrated in cities, rural areas has always been neglected. Rural domestic wastewater discharged directly without basic treatment, resulting in deteriorating the environment, severe eutrophication and has become a main pollution sources of water. Therefore, effective treatments on rural domestic wastewater have significance for China’s sustainable development, as well as environment protection and the quality of villagers’ life.Economy, technology and management are the restrictions to rural area. In selecting domestic wastewater treatment should be adopted to local conditions, low investment, high efficient, easy management of decentralized wastewater treatment. Constructed wetland just has the advantages of less investment, low operating costs, simple maintenance and environmental landscape benefits in treating rural domestic wastewater, which can effectively solve water pollution problems in rural areas. In recent years, Fujian Province Government attaches great importance to rural environmental protection work, takes measures to deal with the rural environmental remediation and has achieved certain results.By the investigation of cases about rural domestic wastewater treatment projects in Fujian Province and consulted a large number of literatures, the critical issues of domestic wastewater had been showed. In this paper, based on concrete cases, anaerobic constructed wetlands method was used to treat rural domestic wastewater and the treatment scale of50t/d,75t/d,100t/d,125t/d,150t/d were designed, which expects to offer a set of lessons for constructed wetlands method in rural domestic wastewater treatment and rural environmental protection work.
