In order to obtain hydroxyapatite (HA) composite coating with high bonding strength to substrate, HA/CS/Fe2O3, HA/CS/ZnO, HA/CS/SrCO3composite coatings were prepared on titanium substrate by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) in organic solvent n-butylalcohol as dispension media, triethanolamine as additive, chitosan for the pore-forming agent, and then Fe2O3, ZnO and CaCC3powders are added, respectively. And then HA/Fe2O3, HA/ZnO, HA/SrCO3composite coatings were obtained by sequentially sintering treatment. The surface morphology, phase composition, corrosion resistance and bonding strength between composite coatings and substrate were characterized and measured by SEM, EDS and XRD, FT-IR, CHI660C and Lloyd LR5K Plus Testing Instrument, respectively. The results showed that these composite coatings had been prepared by EPD in suspension with100:100:1(m/m) of HA:CS:OTE(where OTE represents Fe2O3or ZnO) and20:20:1(m/m) of HA:CS:OTE(where OTE represents SrCO3), and the HA/OTE composite coatings had possessed rough surface, high corrosion resistance in1.5SBF, excellent bioactivity of inducing bone growth, and the bonding strength are up to27.5MPa、26.3MPa、24.5MPa.
