This thesis proposes a new model of prediction tensile strength according to eutectic and mature degree, and the feasibility and general of the prediction model are discussed through calculation and comparison. We know,in production process of different enterprises, metallurgical factors are different; however, in the same enterprise, its raw materials, smelting equipment and technology, hot metal treatment process, refractory material and the atmosphere in the furnace etc metallurgical factors is known and stable, that is to say, the maturity rate of the cast iron production should be the basic stable. We can through the production statistics obtained its maturity rate.If the maturity rate and the degree of eutectic is known to a cast iron production enterprise, then the actual tensile strength can be quantitatively predicted. In the case of cooling rate and metallurgical factors fixed, gray cast iron’ tensile strength can be predicted based on their chemical composition, the predicted tensile strength is called the normal tensile strength.Maturity is equal to the ratio of the wet sand casting method to get the diameter of30mm bar the actual measured tensile strength and the normal tensile strength. This paper selected four representative of the gray cast iron production enterprises. First of all, through the large number experimental data of enterprises, to determine the enterprise of grey cast iron production maturity rate, then according to the maturity rate forecast the tensile strength of gray cast iron. In order to test the feasibility of the maturity rate prediction method, grey cast iron production enterprises of different maturity rate of the sample variance is calculated, the standard deviation of tensile strength of mathematical model is also compared to other researchers had established. Through a large amount of data calculation and draw the following conclusions:First,to specific enterprises, the maturity rate fluctuation in a small range in a period of the gray cast iron production; Second, from the maturity rate prediction accuracy of grey cast iron tensile strength, the project is a perfectly acceptable for gray cast iron production enterprises. Maturity rate forecasting grey cast iron tensile strength method is simple and easy to understand, very practical, very suitable for the actual demand of domestic enterprises, this prediction model is expected to be widely used in enterprise production, the tensile strength forecast of gray cast iron production prediction will have theoretical basis,in order to completely solve the gray cast iron rapid test in front of furnace and ingredients and other related issues.
