Stainless composite plate is widely used as a composite material at present. It have lots of production methods, such as:directed rolling、explosive compound、explposive and rolling compound、electromagnetic continue casting and so on. laser cladding technique is an emerging technology that combinated two or more materials together. Due to some features of laster, it has many advantages but low production efficiency and high cost compared to other composite plate production methods, so it is difficult to realize the mass production. Rolling technology is an mature kind of production methods that have high efficiency, low cost, high degree of automation currently. Therefore, this research will combine rolling technology and laser cladding technology,take fully used of the advantages of two process to realize the composite production. This paper mainly studied for the followings:(1) Using different rolling processes for the cladding plates to select the best rolling process.(2) Using OM、SEM、 EDS、XRD and some other testing mothods to analyze the microstructure of cladding layer and substrate, and the quality of the interface.(3) Evaluate the mechanical properties of the plates before and after rolling by hardness test and tensile test.(4) Evaluate the corrosion resistant performance of the plates before and after rolling by electrochemical test. We mainly get the following conclutions through the study:(1) After hot rolling,the crakes are not appeared on the cladding layer, the interface bond with metallurgical state, the thickness of cladding layer distributed uniformly,(2) For dual phase steel cladding plate that mainly used for wear resistance:The phase composition of cladding layer does not change before and after rolling, they are all ferrite and martensite, no harmful phase precipitation; the organization of cladding layer changed from dendritic structure in law to broken dendritic structure after rolling. tensile strength of plates can reach82%of the base material after rolling, the hardness after rolling increased compared to that before rolling. But due to the partial poly phenomenon of element appeared after rolling, the corrosion resistance of cladding layer fall. The organization of plates under different solid solution temperature have a certain degree of uniformity, but the partial phenomenon aggravate.(3) For austenitic stainless steel cladding plate that mainly used in the corrosion environment, after stuying, we found that:the cladding layer of plates change from as-cast dendritic structure to Processing stated organization. cladding layer is composed of y(Fe-Ni) phase, no harmful phase precipitation. cladding happened dynamic recrystallization, the organization changed from dendritic structure to austenite grain. After rolling, the hardness of cladding layer decreased but tensile properties improved significantly. The corrosion resistance of cladding plate that finished by10mm thickness is better than before rolling. The grain size of cladding layer that soluted under1050℃uniformed and the corrosion resistance improved.To sum up, the method that combine rolling and laser cladding can not only improve the efficiency of laster cladding, but also improve the quality of cladding plate. So, this paper presented a new direction for the production of stainless steel clad plates.
