Reed leaf was used as material for research in this paper because it is a kind of new fiberresource with abundant storage in china. Reed leaf fiber contains cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and some other ingredients and it can be spined after degumming. High pressure hightemperature(HPHT) joint alkali-hydrogen peroxide method was adopted in our work todegum reed leaf and orthogonal experiments were conducted to decide the optimumconditions. After degumming, reed leaf fiber was dissolve in ionic liquid, NMMO, anhydrousphosphoric acid and thiourea separately to prepare regenerated cellulose membrane andelectronic spinning was used to spin the regenerated filament. The optimum degumming conditions with HPHT joint alkali-hydroxy peroxide methodare:2%sodium silicate,2%poly-phosphate,2%sodium sulfuret,1%anthraquinone,22g/Lsodium hydroxide, stirring speed25r/min and treating for90min at100℃.Reed leaf fiber was dissolved in different solutions to prepare the regenerated cellulosesolution and properties of each membrane made from it were tested. It is found that the fibercan be best dissolved in anhydrous phosphoric acid system with74%of P2O5under0℃within30min and7%sodium hydroxide,9%urea,9%thiourea,75%H20at10℃below zerofor30min in thiourea system. In NMMO system optimum conditions are at90℃for8h whilein ionic liquid system the fiber can be best dissolved at100℃for8h but the membrane madefrom regenerated cellulose in ionic liquid showed better wettability and tensile property thanany other membrane. So it can be learned that ionic liquid is the ideal solvent.Ultrasonic pretreatment was applied in the dissolving process in order to shorten thetreating time and the beat conditions are pretreating20min at15kHz. Results of SEM showedthat ultrasonic pretreatment helps to improve the fibrillation phenomenon thus it can be moreeasy for ionic liquid to infiltrate fibers.Electronic spinning was employed to spin the regenerated cellulose solution.2.5%ofDMSO was added to dilute the solution and ethanol was used in the coagulation bath.Filament spined by electronic spinning were characterized with SEM and the graphs revealed that diameter of the filament varies in a large range suggesting that the spinning process stillneeds to be improved.
