Gas sensing based on Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) with fast response, results are accurate, the system is simple, is suitable for real-time on-line measurement. At the same time as non-contact measurement method, it is more responsive to severe environment. With rapid development in recent years, tunable diode laser is more stable in performance and cheaper in prices, TDLAS has an broad application prospects. In this paper, based on TDLAS technology, the semiconductor laser diode at1397nm was used to measure gas concentration and temperature in high temperature combustion environment. A pair of water absorption lines(1397.87nm and1397.75nm) was selected, and the relationship between temperature and the ratio R of the linepair linestrength was calculated. By continuous monitoring on homemade oil burner combustion environment, excluded the flame radiation interference, temperature and H2O concentration measurement is realized simultaneously.Municipal solid waste incinerator is a important equipment for waste processing, which need to monitor the running status moment. Meanwhile the TDLAS technology applied in the industrial field is a worth exploring research. In this paper, by using direct absorption and wavelength modulation technique, the volume concentration and temperature of H2O in gas duct of a municipal solid waste incinerator were measured. By compared the two kinds of test method, the gas duct temperature results agree with thermocouple showed relatively, error range within4.8%, the H2O concentration results consistent with Gasmet measured results.
