With the development of economy and society,the promotion of our living standards inChina and the advancement of urbanization process,the environmental pollution in many citiesbecame more and more serious,which bring the treatment of environmental pollution into focus.This paper conducted the research on the PM2.5particulates and other atmosphericenvironmental particulates in different region and seasons from January2013to November2013in Urumqi,then calculated mass concentration of PM2.5particulates and other atmosphericenvironmental particulates monitored in different region and seasons. Comparison of massconcentration of PM2.5particulates in different seasons and between heating period andnon-heating period were analyst to investigate its temporal and spatial distribution.The mass concentration of PM2.5particulates were analyst based on meteorological datacollected from base meteorological station in Urumqi and its variation in dust-haze and non-grayhaze weather condition. Haze weather forecast models was built using multiple linear regressionmethods.The results are as follows:most in Urumqi,especially more higher in winter (at50%),whereas in non-heating period,atmospheric particulates with2.5μm particle size are relative low(at44%). Monthly mean concentrations of PM2.5particulates,from48.36μg/m3to200.00μg/m3,were relative high in winter and relative low in summer. Contamination level of PM2.5particulateswere more serious in heating period than non-heating period and excessed seriously in heatingperiod. The spatial distribution characteristics of PM2.5particulates were:Midong region>Urumqi railroad bureau>Environmental monitoring station>No.74middle school>tool booth.PM2.5particulates were lower in central Urumqi and higher in northern and eastern region ofUrumqi. The correlation analysis of different environmental pollution particulates indicated thatPM2.5particulates have positive correlation with other pollution particulates. PM2.5particulatesmainly from burning fossil fuels in winter and spring and mostly from automobile exhaustemissions,building construction,and so on.Correlation analysis method between meteorological factors and the concentrations of PM2.5particulates suggested that the concentrations of PM2.5particulates were more higher when therelative humid were greater than60%and more lower when the relative humid were less than60%,which demonstrated that the relative humid have significant influence on concentrations ofPM2.5particulates. However,the wind speed and temperature have negative Pearson correlationwith PM2.5particulates.Principal component analysis and factorial analysis on different pollution particulatesmanifested that pollution particulates are serious and mainly composed of PM2.5particulates.Therefore,pollution status and its correlation with meteorological factors can provide referencefor related research and environmental control in Urumqi.
