The anti-mildew and antifogging PE films was researched and developed for the easily condensated and infested by mildew of the PE films that is widely used at home and abroad in this study. Added the anti-mildew agents(OBPA, PPPB and CMIT) and antifogging agents (PGFE, GMS and PGM) into polyethylene resin and then blew these to anti-mildew and antifogging PE films. The new formulations of anti-mildew and antifogging PE films and conclusions were got by analyzing anti-mildew performance, antifogging performance, mechanical performance (tensile strength and elongation at break), transparency performance, morphology, oxygen permeability, water vapor permeability and fresh keeping performance. The results are as follows.1. Screened anti-mildew agents and antifogging agents, the anti-mildew performance and antifogging performance of films can be enhanced by the anti-mildew agents and antifogging agents, respectively. The anti-mildew effect of adding CMIT into polyethylene films is better than adding OBPA and PPPB. The antifogging effect of adding GMS into polyethylene films is better than adding PGFE and PGM. With the increase of additive amount of these agents, the anti-mildew and antifogging effect is more obvious.2. Studied the physical and chemical properties of anti-mildew and antifogging PE films got the follow results. Added anti-mildew agents into polyethylene reduce the elongation at break and tensile strength of the films. However, added antifogging agents into polyethylene not only strengthen the elongation at break but also tensile strength. The more additive amount of these agents the greater effect of the mechanical performance but the lower of transparency performance. Meanwhile, the oxygen permeability and water vapor permeability of the films both been bring down because of added these agents.3. Screened formulations and researched mechanism of the films get the follow results. The new formulation composed by0.30%CMIT,1.0%GMS,25%LDPE and75%LLDPE was screened out. This film reaches the anti-mildew one level of QB/T2591-2003standard. The water stain that formed on the inside surface of film in15min can disappear within3min and it can reaches without dropping persistence over70days. It boasts excellent mechanical properties. The oxygen permeability amount, the water vapor permeability rate and permeability coefficient reduced to929cm3/cm2-24h-0.1MPa,8.57g/cm2-24h and4.70g·cm/cm2·S·Pa, respectively. It is effective to rape in the preservation, which is the lowest of titratable acidity content, soluble solids content, weight loss ratio, etiolation rate, MDA content and membrane permeability in all of formulations in this study.
