Most reservoirs of China are water gas reservoirs, natural gas extraction often associatedwith the water and other liquids. Part of the liquid may cause well subsidence. Turner’s modelused to calculate the critical speed. Turner’s model from a single drop of liquid droplets in theforce balance deduced, when the gas production rate is greater than the critical speed, theliquid will be take away, and has nothing to do with the liquid aount.2010,SPE120580articlepublished the multi-droplets views and models, there is a threshold of liquid, when the liquiddroplets speed is exceeding a certain critical value, even in Turner critical velocity, the well isunloading, the critical speed increases with liquid content of the gas stream increases.In this paper, the experiment is completed by gas liquid carrying water and air. A total of288of the effective experiments accurately measure and record the test gas flow, liquid flow,temperature, pressure and other parameters. First, the experimental verification of the Turnercritical velocity perspective; then, experimental results show that the multi-liquid dropletsviews: when the gas flow rate is greater than Turner’s the critical velocity, the small amountof liquid is all away, no effusion;When the liquid flow is greater than the Turner’s criticalvelocity air flow still appears fluid. Experimentally measured value of the critical holdup is0.0085. According to experimental data and revised multi-droplet model.Finally, according to the theory of multi-droplet, establish the theoretical model. Based onthe wellbore cell division, focuses on the probability of collision between droplets within eachunit, the number of droplet distribution and number of droplets eventually reach the wellhead,when constant gas flow rate, with liquid amount increased,the number of droplets increasesfirst and then decreases in the wellhead,there is a critical value, when the number of dropletssmaller than the maximum value, the number of individual units within the wellbore dropletseventually reach a dynamic balance, when the liquid droplets amount is greater than thecritical value, the balance is broken, falling within the droplets is falling, the critical wellheadholdup is liquid holdup, the calculated value is0.00935.
