A large number of Ti-bearing blast furnace slag are produced after making iron, which become man-made Ti-bearing resources. Because Ti components are dispersed in different mineral phases and grain size of Ti-bearing mineral phases is tiny, it is difficult to separate and use these Ti-bearing resources. Modification of molten slag can promote the growth of perovskite phase, which provide a good condition to the beneficiation processing. In this paper, it is based on mineralogical study of beneficiation process and use low-grade, middle-grade and high-grade blast furnace slag as raw material, study on crushing and grinding experiments, gravity separation titanium experiments, conventional flotation recovery of slag experiments and selection experiments after surface modification and treatment, main researches as following:1. Using gravity separation and conventional flotation for mineral processing of low-grade titanium slag, tailings grade reduce to less than10%.2. Research on the effects of petroleum sulfonates, oleic acid, hydroxyl acid on flotation and selectivity of perovskite in blast furnace slag. Conventional flotation selection of Ti-bearing blast furnace slag used a large number of inhibitors can not meet the requirements, the inhibitors including sodium metasilicate, carboxy methyl cellulose, oxalic acid. So using the middle-grade slag to determine the amount of flotation reagents and flotation methods. Though the surface chemical pretreatment of mixed reagent Ls, surface properties differences of perovskite and gangue minerals increase and the selectivity of flotation become better. After a number of roughing conditions experiments, using concentrated grinding and surface pretreatment of mixed reagent Ls, The results indicates that the grade of36.02%and recovery of47.16%are obtained, and the grade of tailings has reached11.31%.3. According to the flotation methods and flotation reagents of middle-grade slag, and two parts and three times selected closed-circuit flotation to high-grade slag, The result indicates that the grade of perovskite has reached40.35%, and the recovery of TiO2has reached64.53%, the recovery of tailings has reached10.14%.
