Electrochemical co-deposition of polyaniline (PANI) and manganese oxide (MnO2) was conducted on carbon cloth (CC) in a solution of0.05M aniline,25mM manganous sulfate,60mM sodium dodecylsulphate (SDS) and0.05M H2SO4to afford PMS60composite film; Electrochemical co-deposition of PANI and manganese oxide MnO2was conducted on carbon cloth (CC) in the solution without SDS to afford PANI/MnO2(PM); Electro-deposition of PANI conducted on CC in the solution without Mn2+to afford PANI/SDS (PS); Electro-deposition of PANI was conducted on CC in the solution without SDS and Mn2+to afford PANI; PANI film and PM, PMS60composite film were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Surface morphologies of each film was investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The electrochemical activities, electrocatalytic properties and pseudocapacitive of each film were studied by cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry. The result show that the PMS60existed in nanofibrous structure, the electeochemical activity of the PMS60was twice higher than that of PM, while the specific capacitance of the PMS60composite film increased116.3F/g compared to that of the PM film.To investigate the influence of amount of SDS on electrochemical co-deposition of PANI and MnO2in further, a series of PMS composite films were synthesized in the presence of SDS in different concentration:10,20,40,50,60,80and100mM. The electrochemical activities, pseudocapacitve properties and surface morphologies of the obtained PMS composite films were studied by cyclic voltammetry, chronopotentiometry and SEM. Besides, the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of SDS in the solutions was detected via measurement of surface tension. The results display that the CMC values of SDS are8mM. PMS composite film prepared in solutions containing SDS of60mmol·L-1displayed the highest electroactivity and specific capacitance.In order to investigate the influence of acidity, electrochemical co-deposition of PANI and MnO2was also conducted in solutions containing SDS of60mmol·L-1with different concentration of H2SO4(10,30,50,100,200mM). The electrochemical activities, pseudocapacitve properties and surface morphologies of the obtained PMSA10, PMSA30, PMS60(CH2SO4=0.5mmol·L-1), PMSA100, PMSA200were studied by cyclic voltammetry, chronopotentiometry and SEM.The result showed that all the PMS composite films existed in nanofiber structure, in the acidity range that i researched, the acidity had a little influence on the PMS composite films.
