2-acetamidobenzoic acid is an important organic chemical intermediates, syntheticnon-barbiturate sedative hypnotic drugs4-Hydroxyquinazoline derivatives[1]of rawmaterials, but also the synthesis of fluorescent whitening agents[2]and anti-asthma drugN-cinnamon acid amide fennel[3]of raw materials; very versatile. In this paper,2-acetamidobenzoic acid was obtained via reduction, acieration from o-nitro benzoic acid.We studied the reduction and acylation‘s better synthesis conditions.This paper mainly carried out three parts of research work:The first part mainly studies on the better parameters for the synthesis of anthranllicacid, sodium sulfide as reducing agent, Optimum process conditions for preparinganthranllic acid from o-nitro benzoic acid were: o-nitro benzoic acid5.0g (0.03mol),sodium sulfide4.68g (0.06mol), reaction temperature is80℃, reaction time2.0h, thereaction medium of10%ethanol in water, under this condition, In this condition, theyield can reach79.8%.The second part mainly studies on the better parameters for the synthesis ofanthranllic acid, iron-HCL as reducing agent, Optimum process conditions for preparinganthranllic acid from o-nitro benzoic acid were: nitro benzoic acid5.0g (0.03mol), iron5.76g (0.096mol), hydrochloric acid6ml, iron powder added time is1.5h, the reactiontemperature is75℃, reaction time3.0h, In this condition, the yield can reach58.4%.The third part mainly studies on the better parameters for the synthesis of2-acetamidobenzoic acid, Optimum process conditions for preparing2-acetamidobenzoicacid from anthranllic acid were: anthranllic acid1.37g (0.01mol), acetic anhydride3ml,the reaction temperature is40℃, reaction time1.5h, the solvent amount is6ml, yieldwas91.6%.Among them, the reduction compared to the iron sulfide-hydrochloric acidreduction, simple processing steps, high yield, and the price is cheap compared to ironsulfide, suitable for industrial production.
