Gearbox loading test bed is the essential test equipment in the product production andresearch and development, whose assembly quality directly affects the gearbox’s quality.In this paper, the digital assembly technology is introduced into the assembly planningof loading test bed to improve the efficiency and ensure the assembly quality.First, analyze the gearbox’s test specifications to know the working principle andbasic structure of the loading test bed. Research different types of assembly model andmodeling methods, and according to the characteristics of the loading test bed, choosebottom-up modeling method to establish the loading test bed’s three-dimensional model.Use drive-side component as an example to research the method of expression ofassembly information by using the hierarchical connection relationship model.Secondly, analyze the specific process of the loading test bed’s assembly processplanning. Compare different assembly sequence planning method and choose the cut setmethod as the basic method for the assembly sequence planning, and analyze thefeasibility of the cut set. An idea of layered assembly with cut set method to solve largeand complex product assembly sequence has been proposed. Then use the hierarchicalassembly sequence planning method which is based on the cut set method to find thefeasible assembly sequences of the loading test bed. By using single component levelfuzzy mathematical evaluation method, the membership function of each influencefactor is established. Then choose the optimal assembly sequence based on theevaluation of the assembly sequence of cut set method which is calculation through thefunction. According to the sequence, the feasibility of the assembly sequence isvalidated by the loading test bed assembly process simulation animation which isproduced with3DVIA Composer software and can provide assembly guidance for theloading test bed assembly staff.Finally, finish the assembly work in the factory according to the assembly animationand assembly sequence. Then research the method of adjusting concentricity andparallelism at the actual assembly to provide technical reference for the subsequentsimilar assembly work.
