The spindle performance of computer numerical control CNC machine tools is the key to the quality of manufactured parts. The function position, roundness and surface finish of the manufactured part are important embodiments of the spindle performance, With increasing of the requirement for the quality of production parts, the fault feature extraction and fault diagnosis of CNC machine tool spindle performance become more and more important, especially under actual operating conditions, timely diagnosis of the deteriorating states of the spindle is very necessary. Therefore, fault feature extraction and diagnosis methods for CNC machine tool spindle become an important topic.The fault diagnosis for CNC machine tool spindle based on feature extraction is a technique to understand the running states of the high-speed CNC machine in operation, to reflect the whole or partial performance, to find the reasons for early detection of failure, and to forecast the development trend of fault.This thesis mainly studies the fault feature extraction and diagnosis methods for the spindle of CNC machine tool:1. The formation mechanism of the spindle error is discussed, this thesis introduces the degradation tendency analysis of the spindle system structure and the main shaft system, and studies the main shaft system fault deterioration feature extraction method based on the spindle vibration signals, suitable fault features are extracted by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of various methods.2. A new tracing-back fault diagnosis method of CNC machine high-speed motorized spindle degradation based on two-dimensional manifold topological space is put forward, the correctness of the proposed method was verified by using the rotor test bed fault signal.3. The key technology of the spindle axis trajectory is discussed in detial. According to the above theory, the model of the spindle fault diagnosis based on manifold learning is estabished.4. Based on LABVIEW and MATLAB software, and according to the basic principles of the previous chapters, CNC machine tool spindle fault diagnosis system is developed, the experimental study and application is carried by the system.
