As one of the important chemical raw material, acetic ester is widely used as solvent, plasticizer, surface-active agent, monomer-polymer et al. As the increasing of the demand for acetic ester in and abroad the world, raises of the output is becoming the highlight in the research. acetic ester is produced through an etherification reaction with Acetic acid and their corresponding alcohol, and sulfuric acid has been used the catalyst. However, the disadvantage of sulfuric acid as the catalyst are easily corrosive, polluted, bad selectivity, more side reaction. Thus, more efforts are put on finding a green catalyst.Based on the characteristics:stability, easily to separated, low cost of the production, solid-acid catalyst was regarded as a better substitute compared with sulfuric acid. H3PO4supported on activated carbon was selected as the catalyst to analyze the preparation process, and the application of the catalyst in the synthesis of butyl acetate and PMA.The experiment studied the preparation conditions of this catalyst.In acetic ester synthesis, studied the catalytic performance of the catalyst. Mainly examines the synthesis of the butyl acetate and PMA.The catalysts was used in synthesis of butyl acetate, the activity of the catalyst was studied, and related factors was explored. Experimental results show that activated carbon load phosphate catalyst can play very good catalytic activity in the synthesis of butyl acetate reaction. The yield of butyl acetate was reached85.94%at the molar ratio of acid and alcohol was1.2:1, the reaction temperature was135℃and the airspeed was1h-1.The catalysts was used in synthesis of propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate process(PMA). Experimental results show that activated carbon load phosphate catalyst can play very good catalytic activity in the synthesis of PMA.. in the synthesis of butyl acetate reaction, activated carbon load phosphate catalyst can play very good catalytic activity, the molar ratio of alcohol in the acid feed is1.2:1, the temperature of150℃, the quality of airspeed1h-1, the yield of butyl acetate reached82.53%.The study found that activated carbon load phosphoric acid catalyst had many advantages, and played a good catalytic effect in the synthesis of butyl acetate and PMA. So it had a potential application value.
