Hydrostatic supporting system is widely used in machinery manufacturing,aerospace and other fields of industry. Hydrostatic thrust bearing with multi-oil-pads is one of the important parts in today’s heavy machine. And oil filmlubrication performance of hydrostatic bearing is particularly important, that willdirectly influence machining accuracy and work efficiency of a whole machine.Clearance oil film of hydraulic system is the lubrication medium for energy andsignals. Different workbench operating condition and environment factors willinfluence on the oil film properties. Select the optimal lubrication medium isgreat significance. The paper studied with multi-oil-pads hydrostatic supportingas the research object. Based on the fluid lubrication technology, studied oil filmlubrication properties of hydrostatic bearing under five lubrication medium.Based on the principle of hydrostatic lubrication, derived to velocityequation, flow equation, bearing capacity equation, oil film stiffness equation,power consumption and temperature rise formula of hydrostatic supporting oilfilm. At the same time, deduced clearance flow numerical simulation controlequations from computational fluid dynamics of hydrostatic bearing. Five kindsof lubrication mediums are used in multi-oil-pads hydrostatic supporting.Research the viscosity-temperature characteristics of the five kind lubricationmedium. Establish viscosity-temperature mathematical model of five lubricationmedium respectively. Build3D oil film simulation model based on actualengineering of hydrostatic supporting. Use GAMBIT2.3.16to set mesh andreasonable boundary conditions. Use FLUENT6.3.26software for simulatedistribution characteristics of five lubrication mediums by pressure field,temperature field and velocity field. Discuss the hydrostatic supportingperformance under different lubrication medium. Finally, in order to verify the correctness of clearance oil film flow field simulation, that analyze thetheoretical calculation value and simulation value and experiment results basedon the existing experimental equipment.In this paper, numerical analyze hydrostatic supporting oil film under fivekinds of lubricating medium. And obtain specific performance parameters ofhydrostatic supporting in commonly lubricating medium. Hydrostatic supportingresearch results for lubrication medium selection provides valuable theoreticalbasis in the engineering practice.
