Plunger plunger valve is a part, is mainly used in metallurgy, electric power, chemical, oilrefining, food industry etc.. Surfacing is used welding methods will have certain properties ofthe material deposited in a process of welding surface.This paper on the basis of the previous work, a systematic exposition of the basicprinciple of the basic theory of plunger welding test method, the residual stress of weldingtemperature field and stress field and finite element analysis, is established to calculate thethree-dimensional finite element model of welding temperature field and residual stress fieldof welding stainless steel material of the plunger considering the factors, material propertiesdepend on temperature change, to thermal elastoplastic theory as the foundation, is calculatedby the finite element analysis software ANSYS simulation function, the coupling process ofwelding temperature field and stress field using the indirect method, the residual stress weresimulated and calculated for plug welding.Using the finite element analysis software ANSYS on the surface of20#stainless steelcomposite layer surfacing welding temperature field and stress field of3D computer numericalsimulation analysis, obtained under different welding speed at any time the weldingtemperature field and stress field changes, and the welding residual stress distribution of thejoint after cooling condition.We found that the selection of MIG arc welding method, can reduce the small plugwelding is generated in the process of deformation and stress. The welding speed in the850~900mm/min, coating of metal heated evenly, welding temperature field and stress fielddistribution and gradient, distribution of welding residual stress region is reduced and thenumerical relatively lower, the welding structure optimization of welding technology andprovides an important basis for improvement.
