Glycol ethyl ether acetate is a new generation of universal solvent, ithas strong ability to dissolve, especially for our highly soluble polymers,and it is widely used in paints, coatings, inks and other industries.Currently the world’s larger ether acetate’s producers are the UnitedStates, Germany and Japan, China is still in the research and developmentstage, which is only limited to low-volume production of chemicalreagents, its’ products are mainly imported. Therefore, there is a largepotential domestic market; it has great significance in the developmentand improvement of glycol ethyl ether acetate’s production technology.Glycol ethyl ether acetate’s synthesis methods are: Directly esterificationmethod (the raw material is acetic acid and ethylene glycol ether, thecatalyst are sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and other inorganic acid);Trans esterification (the raw material is ethyl acetate and ethylene glycolether); Step synthesis (the raw material is ethylene oxide and ethylacetate).At present, glycol ethyl ether acetate’s production mostly remainedin the inorganic acid such as sulfuric acid as the catalyst; it is a backwardproduction technology. In this paper, the study on the catalytic synthesisof glycol ethyl ether acetate with silica loaded cerous sulfate was carriedout single factor method and orthogonal experiment method were used toinvestigate the effects of acid/alchohol ratio, mass fraction of sulfatecerous in the loaded catalyst stand reaction time on the acetic acidconversion, respectively and the optimal technical conditions weredetermined to be: acid/alchohol ratio1:1.0, mass fraction of sulfatecerous in the loaded catalyst15%and reaction time120min, underwhich the conversion of acetic acid reached99.70%. Compared with the unloaded sulfate cerous, the silica loaded sulfate cerous has some obviousadvantages, such as better catalytic activity, less use level of catalyst,higher acetic acid conversion and long life, which is a good catalyst withpotential application.The purpose of this paper is the preparation of a new type solid acidcatalyst instead of concentrated sulfuric acid catalytic synthesis ofdiethylene glycol methyl ether acetate, for the sake of the future in thechemical production using fixed bed catalytic synthesis of requiredproducts, in order to overcome a series of the shortcomings of traditionalindustrial concentrated sulfuric acid. Work significance is systemresearch H-ZSM-5catalyst in diethylene glycol dimethyl ether and thedirect esterification of ice acetic acid catalytic activity and load catalystpreparation methods, research on synthesis of diethylene glycol methylether acetate optimum reaction conditions and catalyst, improve the rawmaterial conversion rate. On the basis of the analysis of the performanceof the catalyst and the synthesis of diethylene glycol methyl ether acetateof the relationship between the esterification reaction activity. Theresearch content of this paper is a new catalyst in diethylene glycolsystem research of methyl ether and ice acetic acid in the esterificationreaction catalytic activity, selectivity and stability, and get the bestpreparation conditions, research on synthesis of diethylene glycol methylether acetate best reaction process conditions. Synthesis is the directesterification method namely by ice acetic acid and diethylene glycolmethyl ether as raw material, H-ZSM-5solid acid as catalyst for synthesisof diethylene glycol methyl ether acetate. Is obtained by vacuumdistillation separation method is required for product. And studying thecatalyst by the physical properties of the synthetic products alkyd moleratio of reaction time, etc. The influence of operating conditions on thereaction yield, providing theoretical basis for the industrialization of the process. Research is this experiment investigates the single factorexperiment method and the transverse longitudinal comparison betweenhomologue, preliminary the process conditions were determined asfollows: alkyd mole ratio of1:1, dosage of catalyst was2.59%, thereaction time for60minutes or so, the reaction temperature is85~92℃.In the process under the condition of the esterification rate was96.94%.
