Herein, the stimulus-responsive functional small organic molecules based onacridone and quinacridone substituted with functional groups are designed, synthesizedand investigated. Acridone and quinacridone are two classic compounds of acridinederivatives, with a planar molecular structure formed by multiple aromatic heterocycles. In this article, our work are divided into two parts shown as follows:In the first part, we designed and synthetized a bispiropyran molecular switchbased on acridone. According to the properties of photochromic compound spiropyranand the fluorescent reagent acridone, we studied the UV/Vis and Fluorescence spectraof target molecule upon UV light irradiation. Also combined with the computionalanalysis, we made efforts to clarify the detail process of bispiropyran molecular switchupon UV irradiation. In the second part, we designed and synthetized siloxane substituted quinacridone, and then ultilized this quinacridone derivative as probe for fluoride detection.Firstly, the particular aggregation state and spectral properties of quinacridone derivative werestudied in detail. And then we found, for the solution of this quinacridone derivativeprobe in THF, the addition of fluoride would lead to special changes of the color, aggregation state, relevant spectral properties of the solution. The whole recognitionprocess was based on a dual guaranteed mechanism in which fluoride can act as lewisbase and a selective reagent for Si-O cleavage, respectively. Such a quinacridonederivative probe could realize fluoride detection in real time by naked eyes.
