In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the level of China’sscience and technology, the coal mine automation level has made considerableprogress. But in the performance index of comprehensive mechanized coalmining equipment and equipment automation technology level etc. we still lagbehind the international advanced level. The equipment of our country fullymechanized coal mining face is various, the environment is complex, and thestaff is numerous, which have brought great threat and pressure to the coal minesafety production. Therefore, more research investment in fully mechanized coalmining equipment to achieve unmanned mechanized mining face has become anecessary requirement for mining coal mine automation technology. As themain equipment of fully mechanized coal mining face, whether canrealize remote control of coal mining machine has an important significance tothe realization of unmanned fully mechanized working face.This subject comes from the industrialization projects which demand anannual production of30sets of intelligent control system of fully mechanizedworking face. So the shearer remote control communication system has been designed. The system include the shearer control keyboard based on LIN bus,the remote communication device based on VDSL2and the shearer monitoringsoftware based on ForceControl configuration software. The system is able tocollect shearer control information and feedback shearer condition information.More importantly, it enables remote bidirectional transmission of information.The main contents are as follows:First, aiming at the lack of remote communication technologies, the latestVDSL2broadband access technology was applied to mine automationequipment. We chose the first domestic VDSL2core chip and determined thedesign scheme which combined the VDSL2core with front-end hybrid circuitsand Ethernet PHY chip. According to the design scheme we completedschematic and PCB design.Second, we applied LIN bus technology to the shearer control keyboardand adopted the scheme which combined Freescale micro controller with LINbus interface chip. According to the design scheme, we had designed a digitalcollection module DI and digital output modules DO based on LIN bus andfinished its hardware circuit design and software development. Combined withmature applied DP-LIN conversion module, the research had achieved thetechnical scheme that the keyboard collected control information throughLIN bus and converted to the DP bus signal to communicate with PLC. Thus,import data acquisition devices and signal output devices do not need to buy andthe cost dropped. Third,the shearer monitoring software based on ForceControl configurationsoftware had been designed to meet the requirements of real-time monitor offully mechanized mining face. Software design mainly includes the monitoringdesign and script programs.Fourth, taking into account the shearer remote control data communicationsystem will be oriented to the market, a large number of tests and correctionwork needs to be done. First of all, we tested the bandwidth, anti-fatigue andanti-jamming of the VDSL2remote communication module. Then, the dataexchange situation test between Shearer control keyboard and PLC host wascompleted. Finally, we built the system and wrote the PLC test program to testthe basic functions of the system. Test results show that the system meets therequirements for on-site applications.The shearer remote control data communication system had been used in anumber of domestic coals, such as Sichuan Lvshuidong. Application of thesystem improved the level of automation of coal mining and enriched shearercontrol modes. More importantly, it liberated coal mine workers and realizedunmanned mechanized mining face. The system had laid a good foundation forunderground unmanned face technology of china to reach the internationaladvanced level.
