Cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) is a class of organic small molecular semiconductor materials with18π electronics heterocyclic conjugated system, which has many potential applications in organic photovoltaics, organic light emitting diodes, and organic field effect transistors because of their various optoelectronic and magnetic properties due to different polymorphs. One of important methods to prepare phthalocyanine nano-materials is organic vapor phase deposition (OVPD).The major work of this thesis is to investigate the relations between CoPc nano-materials and experimental parameters of OVPD and characterize optical properties of obtained nano-materials. The CoPc nano-wires were prepared through regulating and controlling the parameters such as temperature field, carrier gas flow rate, temperature gradient, substrate materials and deposition time, etc. in the processing of experiment. The optimized experimental parameters of OVPD for CoPc nanowires were determined after many experiments. The carrier gas flow rate is400sccm, the deposition chamber was kept at ambient pressure; the source materials were heated at450℃.The CoPc nano-wires have new polymorph and the diameters of CoPc nanowires are in the range of50to60nm. The CoPc nano-wires are very stable in air, however, its morphology can change remarkably in liquid. The substrate materials and the roughness of substrate surface have no effect on the growth of CoPc nano-wires. The XRD study indicates that the CoPc nano-wires have a new polymorph, which is named J-CoPc. The FTIR and UV-Visbile absorbance spectra of J-CoPc nano-wires are different from those of other CoPc polymorphs. The characteristic infrared absorption peaks of J-CoPc are located at731.33cm-1,777.94cm-1and914.38cm-1. The absorption peak of J-CoPc at B band is locates at310nm and the two absorption peaks at Q band are located at600nm and730nm respectively.
