Titania (TiO2) aerogel is often used for the degradation of pollutant because of its high catalytic activity, high thermal stability, porous arid loose network structures. In this study, the template method was combined with dye sensitizing technology and aerogel method to synthesize TiO2aerogel templated by dyes. The obtained samples were characterized by a series of techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2adsorption/desorption, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS). The impacts of TiO2aerogel catalysts properties on the photocatalytic degradation of nitrate were investigated. The results show that the catalytic activities of these TiO2aerogel catalysts are higher than pure TiO2aerogel. The degradation rate of different template of TiO2aerogel catalysts is different and the highest degradation rate is83%which is less influence with the amount of catalysts between20mg to50mg.The bandgap energy of CdS is2.42eV, can be activated with visible light (<495nm).The embedding of CdS on MIL-100was used for photocatalytic degradation of nitrite ions. The results show that CdS nanoparticles were dispread and embedded on the MIL-100crystals. The CdS/MIL-100maintained their porous structures and high specific surface areas. When20wt%of CdS was embedded, the highest degradation rate of92%was achieved in10ppm NaNO2aqueous solution under simulated solar light irradiation...
