Chalcogenidometalates have attracted considerable interest, because they are new type of materials with properties of catalysis, adsorption, semiconductor, photoconducor, photoluminescence and nonlinear optics, especially for the chalcogenides of Groups 13 elements. They have open frameworks and are mesoporous materials with good function in ion exchange. Solvothermal reaction is becoming a versatile route to synthesize chalcogenidometalates. Chalcogenido clusters have been assembled in various ways to form novel topological structures with unique physicochemical properties. This work is devoted to studying the synthetic method, choosing economic organic templet reagent and solvothermal system, preparing novel chalcogenidometalates and characterizing their spectral properties. The major studies of this work are as follows:In introduction, the research progresses in chalcogenidometalates and general situation of solvothermal reaction are reviewed briefly; characteristics and properties of the chalcogenidometalates are described in detail. In chapter 2, under solvothermal condition, 1,6-diaminohexane (DAH) was used as structural directing reagent for synthesis of indium chalcogenido clusters and compounds DAH-InS-1(1) and DAH-InS-2 (2) were obtained. Their structures are briefly discussed and the correlativity of crystal shape with the parameters of microstructure is discussed. In chapter 3, transition metal cations Fe2+, Co2+ were adulterated into indium chalcogenides under solvothermal condition. Compound 3 and two adulterated compounds 4 and 5 were obtained. Structure and transition metal cation effects on spectral properties of the chalcogenides are discussed briefly. In chapter 4, a series of lanthanide metal selenide, [La(en)(tepa)(Se2)]Br(6) and [Ln(tepa)(μ–OH)(μ–Se2)][Ln(tepa)(μ–OH)Cl]Cl4 (Ln= 7, 8, 9) were obtained under solvothermal condition, using TEPA as solvent. Crystal structures, electronic spectra and thermal stability of these compoundds are briefly discussed.
