Food safety is the first barriers of human survival and health concerning people's livelihood. In today's world one after another of food safety incidents initiate people to attach great importance to food safety. Especially," Sanlu Milk Powder Incident " caused great harm to people's health and safety, affected the social stability and market order seriously, and sounded the alarm for food safety regulation. Chinese food safety control system, as well as the shortcomings and problems in the system become a community-wide focus of attention. It is in this grim situation that the Chinese Government promulgated《The Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China》and《Regulation on the Implementation of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China》, which reflect the determination of our government to strengthen food safety supervision and a high sense of responsibility and confidence. The promulgation of new laws makes a legal basis for Chinese food safety control, and provides a good opportunity for its development. At present, it is the top priority of this phase to learn and implement《The Food Safety Law》and《Regulation on the Implementation of the Food Safety Law》, as well as do the good supervision job of restructuring and transition period.On the basis of the literature at home and abroad finishing, this paper first defined the supervision of food safety related theories. The main part is divided into three parts by logical line of thought:First, this paper analyzed the status of Chinese food safety supervision and issues, and analyses the cause of the problem from theory; Second, interpreted the requirements of《The Food Safety Law》and《Regulation on the Implementation of the Food Safety Law》; Third, learned from the advanced experience of food safety regulation in developed countries and put forward the improvement direction of Chinese food safety supervision, proposed the focus of Chinese food safety supervision in the transitional period of new law to implement.Papers are written in the implementation of the new law. We hope that this research can provide guidance for Chinese food safety control, and make humble contributions for our country to achieve a harmonious society and shape the image of service-oriented government.
