| Hi-tech technology is human blessing that helps lift human beings not only out of repetitive and tedious physical labor but also from mental work. Hi-tech technology could be compared to the North Star which paves the road to human civilization and could also be compared to a fast moving train which carries human beings to a new and promising era. Hi-tech technology---- everything ranging from radar disks to multimedia which spread up-to-date information to mass audience, to digital technology transmitting voices and visual images worldwide,to improved genes which transform life and cure cancer, can be found everywhere and is altering our way of life in a tremendous way. To put it in another word, today we can not live without hi-tech technology. It has become indispensable in human existence and become a leading force in this new phase of social progress.Currently, in academic circles, an overall, extensive and in-depth research on hi-tech technology, especially the hi-tech technology alienation brought about together, is under way. It is widely acknowledged that high-tech technology alienation has gone far beyond scientific sphere, and has been listed as one of the key research projects internationally, which aroused the author's intense curiosity to probe into the issue. The thesis starts with a brief introduction of the research background and the significance of the research. In this part, different versions of definitions of hi-tech technology alienation are discussed, from superficial to profound, and its characteristics are also covered. This part highlights 3 layers of hi-tech technology alienation. Based on this introduction, the author, guided by Dialectics Theory by Carl Marx, begins to trace back the origin of hi-tech technology alienation from 3 perspectives----- hi-tech technology itself, the social factors and human factors as well, in an attempt to help the readers have a correct understanding of the issue and thus work out a feasible solution. In the end, the author, based on the previous analysis, encourages the readers to abandon old-fashioned outlook on nature and proposes that, by setting up an administering and supervising system, a new hi-tech technology-based ecology concept should be built. Besides, the author also promotes the desertion of false notion which regards hi-tech technology as a tool and proposes the buildup of a new society which stresses legal consciousness, moral restraints and social responsibilities and the construction of a society featuring a sound restraint mechanism achieved through sound and consistent policies. To sum up, problems caused by the above mentioned factors are discussed in the hope that an overall and comprehensive understanding of the issue could be achieved and fears and misgivings about hi-tech technology could be removed. Only in this way, can hi-tech technology be actually employed and ultimately serve the people. |
