With the emergence and development of commodity economy, transportation came into being as an economic activity. The higher economic development level brings more urgent transport demand and is stricter to transport activities. It is more dependent on transportation. At present, the transport activities are involved with all sectors of the national economy. Transport as the tertiary industry makes growing contribution to the primary and secondary industry. Integrated transport is the combination of various modes of transport, such as road, rail, sea, air, pipeline.In general, transport has become a pillar industry of national economy, its development is directly related to whether the normal operation of the social reproduction, transport activities connect all aspects of social production. Regional economy is part of the national economy, which directly affects the level of the country's economic development. Due to natural, historical, human and other factors, China's regional economic development is unbalanced, which is the same as transport. It is a consensus that there is close relationship between transportation and regional economy. This paper focuses on the relationship of different areas in China, according to research target and context, the integrated transport refers to transportation scale. This paper chooses typical jing-jin-ji region and central region as research objective, from vertical perspective studies the relationship between transportation and economic development of each region, from horizontal perspective contrasts the relationship and finds their similarities and differences. It is hoped that we can be aware of the relationship systematically and draw valuable conclusions. The whole idea of the study is like this: first select representative areas to study respectively, then contrast them, in order to achieve the purposes of as fully as possible reflecting the relationship between transportation and regional economic development and validating the conclusion.
