According to the present situation , as viewed from the market supply and demand , analyze the development of the Chinese car market with industrial organization theory. On the basis of car sales volume from 1990 to 2008 , predict the 2009 and 2010 car sales volume by time series analysis . Useing the industry concentration as an index , calculate market concentration data from 1992 to 2008. As a result, it shows that Chinese car Market at V type in Bain'market structure classification ,belongs to a low-oligopoly structure . Through the empirical analysis of the three factors affecting the market structure: market concentration, product differentiation, entry and exit barriers, find out forming a market-led oligopolistic market structure is the structural optimization goal . Finally, from the corporate practices and government policy point of view , put forward specific measures to optimize the development of the industry.
