Main business which ensures the normal operation of enterprises is the major ones of day-to-day activities in order to complete its business objectives over a period of time and should remain relatively stable. However, since their own characteristics and external market conditions are constantly changing, the main business gets into transition in order to adapt to constantly changing conditions of their own characteristics and the outside world with the growth of long-term process. In this sense, the transformation of the main business should be a normal process during the growth of enterprise. However, in the view of effect, there are some listed companies successful in transition and there are some not which become a threat to the survival of enterprises. Therefore, "the main industry in transition" is not a panacea. So, what characteristics should the enterprises of the main business in transition have? What impact does main business of transition have to performance? What features do industries which the main business is out of or gets access to have? What does main business companies in transition to follow? Can the generality of the abstract economic theory explain the complexity of the main business transformation in the real world? All these problems are needed to be responded from the theory and used to guide practice.The paper discusses the six main business transformation and its relationship to performance:Introduction part, including the problem this paper studies, research ideas, research and methodological framework of this article, and the inadequacies of innovation; the second part is Main business transformation and performance of, this article first to define the relevance of the concept, and then in accordance with the results of the main industry in transition, respectively, both at home and abroad on the main business of the enterprise restructuring and performance study of the relationship between literature; the second part is the full text of theoretical analysis, mainly from two aspects of nuclear and chemical diversity, discuss the theoretical basis for the transition of main business; the fourth part of the framework is empirical research, first draw a brief description on the sample data collection and selection, and then quantify the indicators in accordance with the degree of diversification and performance, bring forward an assumption of empirical research and establish it; in At last, the thesis gives the proposal for later research direction and puts forward some policy suggestions. Finally, relevant empirical conclusions are gathered and expectation of future research is also described so that there will be a better research both in-depth and meticulous in the future.
