Bill of Lading is an important document in the international transportation of goods by sea, in the international sale of goods, transportation, settlement and other aspects, B/L plays a very important role. Bill of lading testify the international maritime developing from the early barter trade to the present course of the transaction documents, it is accompanied by the development of maritime documents and produce a corresponding series of the maritime system. Bill of lading is used to prove the contract of carriage of goods by sea and the goods have been taken over by the carrier or been laden, and the carrier undertakes to deliver the goods to the consignee assigned in the document. Bill of lading plays a very important position in international maritime trading, it's appearance promotes the prosperity of the international maritime trading.However, with the development of modern maritime technology, the basis of bills of lading's using, that the time required for B/L complex processes, conflicts with the conditions of modern form of advanced marine technology in trading practice, there always are the phenomenon that the goods have been delivered to the port of destination while the consignee who have not received the bill of lading can not delivery the cargo in time. Bill of lading is a document of title to the goods during transport, can be negotiable.In the actual business, based on the consideration of the actual situation and the needs of commercial interests, there often have some non-normal use of bill of lading, produced by the shipper a guarantee for clean bills of lading, the carrier issue Anti-dated B/L and Advanced B/L and delivery of goods without B/L and so on, leading a great deal of risk in the international maritime trading, is not conducive to international trade and shipping industry.In view of the above, the article analyses bill of lading causes and types of risk, risk assessment on the bill of lading, establish bills of lading risk assessment system, and to identify possible risks related to the parties put forward corresponding preventive measures for the maritime practice operation to provide a theoretical reference.
