The average of cultivated land is limited,and the reserving arable land is shortage in China,The contradictions between people and land are becoming increasingly prominent.In order to realize population,resources and environment for sustainable development,urgently need to enhance the management and evaluation of cultivated land fertility,and protect land,improve the quality of cultivated land, effectively manage the cultivated land resources and promot agricultural sustainable development.Based on the analysis of domestic and international researching progress of the cultivated land fertility evaluation and application research about Geographic information system (GIS) technology in cultivated land fertility evaluation,The study area lies in LanTian of Xian city—national agricultural demonstration country.The supporting of GIS,the study focused on the analysis and processing of the relevant data,the selection of optimal evaluation methods and models,analyzed the basic information database,established the cultivated land fertility evaluation index system.discussed the level and characteristics of cultivated land,At last,the paper use the second development way based on the component of ArcEngine,combining with object-oriented programming language—C# and the data of lantian country,designing and developing the cultivated land fertility management information system.The main research results are as follows:(1) This study collect and organize related maps,text material and sampling test data and so on,combining the spatial analysis of GIS and the method of cultivated land fertility evaluation,applicatting software of ArcGIS,Access,Excel to process and analyze, Such as the main obtainment of soil figure,land utilization status,ect.and space data and property data integrated storage so as to establish the land information database based on GIS.(2) Based on the analysis and discussing the unit,factor,weight,method of cultivated land fertility evaluation the paper apply the technology of GIS,the evaluation units consisted of the overlayed patches the current land use map,the soil map and administrative zoning map,and then assigned.Applying the Delphi method,17 factors have chosen to evaluate cultivated lands.The acquiring of each associated weight was conducted by AHP.and then using fuzzy mathematical method to establish membership function model,adopting accumulative model to get comprehensive index as the basis of cultivated land fertility,applying frequency curve method to determine the optimal level of cultivated land fertility,Finally,outputting farmland productivity grade distribution and exploring the cultivated land fertility evaluation methods and technology system with the support of GIS.(3) the paper calculates the integrated fertility index of cultivated land between 0.603and 0.953.According to the cumulative curve method,the cultivated land were divided into five level:5.57% of the total farmland area is 2876.7hm2, which is the first grade,23.90% of the total farmland area is 12346.69 hm2,which is the second,43.35% of the total farmland area is 22399.46 hm2,which is the third grade,the fourth is 11217.85 hm2,21.71% of the total area,and the fifth is 2826.2 hm2,5.47% of the total area.the area of different grade showed in the order of the third land>the second land>the forth land>the first land>the fifth land.The classification objectively reflected the local actual situation,and according with the actual situation in each level,we acquire geographical distribution,regional distribution of each level and improved use of administrative measures.(4) the management information system of Lantian country's farmland productivity was established. platform of GIS is ArcEngine,C# is language of development,Geodatabase was used to manage the spatial data and attribute data,modify and access the data through the programming.There are some functions which is the basic function of GIS systems,the management of data,spatial analysis and thematic application of farmland,So this achieve an efficient farmland management,and related information which is soil fertilizer,land use and improvement and so on,improve the lever and use efficiency of fertilizers,increase the income of farmer, protect the land resource and environment,while the system is simple,targeted professionals,as provide a convenient,easy platform and save some time and improve the current work efficiency and management level.
