Energy is called the blood of the modern industrial society, the energy is not only the power that countries establish a reserve of modern military and defense protection, but it also means a country's economic security, political stability and social development. Energy security issues rise to the level of national security strategy.Because of its important geopolitical value and resource value, energy became a distinct geopolitical theme of the era, modern energy problem is the oil issue, my paper mainly discusses the problem of oil-based energy. Oil is a non-renewable natural resources, and modern industrial society highly depends on oil, As exhaustible resources and an basic driving force of modern society oil can not be manufactured, so that the community depends on this commodity.Since the late 20th century, due to the obvious contradiction between the global energy supply and demand, international oil supply and demand pattern has changed. The Asia-Pacific region is known as the future heart of the world's oil and gas demand. Because of the growing global energy demand, the political and economic factors of energy, all of this have impact on Sino-Japanese relations. In fact, so many risks factors such as import dependence, national oil strategic reserve, the international geopolitical relations, transportation have impact on oil imports, comparing to the U.S., EU and Japan, China has much more risks. After the world oil crisis in 70's, as an energy-starved country, Japan had established a national energy development strategy, so far, Japan has formed a relatively stable energy supply and industrial development system. Went with the economic transformation in China in 90's, energy started to be an important resource for the development of society, especially after China became an oil importing country in 1993, the Sino-Japanese energy relationship has changed, with competitive factors gradually increased, their energy problems have occurred in many oil countries around the world. The Sino-Japanese relations is a geo-political, economic, historical and complex competitive land-sea relations among the two major powers, because of the short of self-sufficiency and foreign energy dependence, the main import countries compete in the international oil market.Complex interdependence between countries have changed the traditional military form of global power, because of geo-economic, geopolitical and geo-axis transferred from the military to the economy in 21 century. States started to react in geo-economic way. Geo-economy includes those do not need to be resolved through violence issues, trade, intellectual property, economic development, multinational corporations, industrial policy disputes are the mainly economic issues. The oil is the world's largest international trade commodity. According to the statistics in 2008, global oil production is 40 million tons, half of which is 20 billion tons for international trade. The oil has become the financial commodity, is an object of financial investment.Under the conditions of globalization, oil economy is becoming a global economy. On one hand, oil exporting countries and consumers mutually penetrate deeply. On the other hand, the world's oil trade is increasing complex and diversified. Dominant factor in the oil market trends to become diversely, oil is goods. Financial prices, trading ways in oil market is saying that oil is no longer just a physical product any more, oil is the new center of the world market, and a new pattern of distribution of economic power. Asia trading center will be increasingly fierce competitive day after day.Energy relations between the two countries is that only a small amount of China's coal exports to Japan in 70's;then it experienced a period of relative stability of energy trade relations in70's to 80's,the Sino-Japanese energy relations have entered an stable and rapid development period, and then the relationship changed with China's energy demand has increased in 90's, the Sino-Japanese energy relationship gradually formed a competitive pattern. Recalling the history of energy relations between China and Japan, we can see that the energy cooperation between them is continued in a geo-economical way. Essentially speaking, geo-economic is non-zero economy. In the view of the complex geo-economic and geo-political relations between them, using a historical way, we can have a right analysis on cause and effect of energy relations development between China and Japan in recent years, and finding out a feasible cooperation way is very important. In the International political and economic environment, energy problems can use an geo-economic way to find out an energy cooperation as a starting point to study whether Sino-Japanese relations can break through the traditional political, economic zero-sum game mode in the new century, and create a favorable environment for China's energy security, optimize China's energy security strategy system from the international secretary supply, regional cooperative security to national energy industry security.
