Empirical Research On The Industry Relative Efficiency Of The Six Provinces In The Middle Region Based On Interaction Perspective

With the development of international economy, the level of industrialization becomes an important symbol of measuring a country's comprehensive economic strength and the degree of modernization, an important material base of national economic development, and is the basic guarantee for national security. Since the reform and the opening-up, our industry has made a rapid progress, but never got rid of the development defects of high consumption, strong pollution, and low efficiency. Only if we change the original development model, industry can have a new breakthrough in the future. As the refinement and specialization of social division, some functions separated gradually from industrial production process, and at last formed the service sector. It provided more and more services for the industry, and greatly promoted industrial competitiveness. Therefore, combining the industrial status, this paper will explore the methods of improving the industrial relative efficiency of the six provinces in the middle region from the interaction perspective between industry and service. We believe it will have certain reference significance for the economic development of the six provinces'industries.Firstly, based on the researches of the domestic and foreign experts on the efficiency of various sectors, industrial status of the six provinces and the accessibility of the related data, this paper will establish an index system of evaluating industrial relative efficiency of our various provinces. Then using the super efficiency model of Data Envelopment Analysis, I will measure the relative efficiency of the six provinces from 2003 to 2009, and have a comparative analysis with average efficiency of the eastern, the western region and the whole country. Finally, with the efficiency of decided by the DEA model as the dependent variable, service which interacts with the industry, industrial scale as the independent variables, I am to establish a panel data model, explicated the influence way and influence size of each factor of the industrial relative efficiency of the six provinces, and put forward some recommendations and countermeasures based on the foundation in the end.
