Research On The Relationship Between Regional Information And Labor Productivity In China

In the background of economic globalization, information technology as the representative of high technology was rapidly develop, the world entered a new information age. Information as a new core factors of production and strategic resources for the economic development, making information to become the main trend in the world, regional information has gradually become a regional symbol of social modernization. Modern regional economic and social not develop without the driver of information, in particular, the country is going to vigorously promote the integration of information and industrialization, What kind of role this technology-driven of information technology play in the development of labor productivity, we need to explore. To the relationship between the regional information and labor productivity as the starting point, we conducted theoretical and empirical research.This paper uses SAS and EViews statistical analysis software to establish indexes to show the level of regional information and the situation of labor productivity. Under the guidance of the relevant principles of econometrics, the paper established a model, use panel data to reveal the regularity between the regional information and labor productivity, and further analysis of the relationship between the two in order to identify regional information and the development of labor productivity.Based on econometric model, this paper gets the results following: (1)2005-2009 China's overall level of information steadily improving, but there is a significant imbalance for the level of the regional information; (2)2005-2009 the labor productivity has shown an upward trend in China, but due to the financial crisis in 2008, the growth rate has declined in 2008 and 2009, and there is also a significant imbalance for the regional labor productivity; (3) in China, "productivity paradox " does not exist at this stage, and regional information significantly promoted labor productivity, but for different regions, this role differently.
