Since the last century, as an important manifestation of globalization, multinational companies promote the interaction of trade and investment activities, and lead international economic and trade globalization process. In recent years, in the backdrop of China's sustained and rapid economic growth, Chinese enterprises gradually mature and grow, productivity levels and firm size can be improved. Patterns of international choices, from simple export model in foreign investment to the paradigm shift. This article on the basis of heterogeneous enterprise trade theory made by Melitz,Helpman,Yeaple and others, in order to study the decision of China's non-financial enterprises in the export and foreign direct investment.In the course of the study, the integrated use of general equilibrium analysis, comparative static analysis and simulation computing methods in order to explain the model. Using of multiple linear regression, cluster analysis, and logistic regression models, in order to study the differences between Chinese enterprises export and foreign direct investment mode and heterogeneity of enterprise trade theory.The study found that in China manufacturing enterprises , labor productivity is an important factor influencing the export decision-making, while the right investment decisions and vice versa. Total factor productivity of enterprises there is a big impact exports, especially for the investment decisions, should be much larger than labor productivity. The needs of local markets, domestic and international markets are different. Demand for types of markets in the same category, local markets, domestic and international markets are the same. In selecting export, companies do not rely solely on its size, but in the choice of foreign direct investment just the opposite. Exports and foreign direct investment have a structural difference. Namely, exports and foreign direct investment enterprises in the industrial distribution division of labor and industry chain have significant difference. On the basis of study in this paper, author proposes the comments and suggestions of enterprise internationalization mode selection and government policy-making.
