Chinese Ministry of Finance in 2006 formally Promulgated the Accounting Standard for Business Enterprises(ASBE),setting up a new system of accounting standards,among which there use of fair value in ASBE 15 the highlight. On September 1sth,2006,FASB issued No.157 Notice of Financial Accounting Standards (SFASNo.157). Fair Value,bringing forward the improving guide line for the use of fair value. The year 2007 witnessed the implementation of ASBE system by all Chinese listed companies. In September,2007 the out break of the U.S. sub-loan crisis intensified and spread through out the world,re-evoking the heated debate on the disadvantages and advantages of fair value and the retention or abolition of fair value. No matter it is coincidental or inevitable the use of fair value in China is closely linked with that in the United States and other countries on the world, which calls for the attention and reflection of the fair value among the Chinese accounting academies.Firstly, this paper is combined with the current sub-loan crisis which has just passed to the impact of fair value. And then, through the review of the literature on fair value, it combined with accounting objectives and the relevance of accounting information theory using the value model the impact of the price of listed financial enterprises in China by empirical analysis. Finally, we draw some relevant conclusions, and the fair value in future development prospect.
