?Cross-departmental teamwork style has be increasingly favored and more attention in the modern business process due to the high flexibility and effectiveness which can quickly respond to external market and customers'requirements and changes, and reduce the risk. Cross-departmental project team belongs to matrix structure, which team members come from various functional departments of enterprises who have different professional backgrounds and needs. How to motivate team members, give them full play to their strengths, and get high output, is regarded as the new hot spot in current excitation field. This article researches from the following aspects.First, the paper deeply analyses today's enterprises'environment, introduces the domestic and international's research status of cross-departmental team incentive model; and the purpose and significance of this research; on this basis, relate the content and framework of the paper.Second, the paper explores the incentive theory and principal-agent theory in depth. This paper explores basic concepts of Incentive theory, the classical Incentive theory and team motivation. In the principal-agent theory, the paper expounds the detailed description of the content, background, characteristics, assumptions, basic problems of the theory and the basic conditions of principal-agent theory.Third, this paper studies the characteristics of cross-departmental project team. Cross-departmental project team is the object of this paper research; it deserves a detailed study of its characteristics. First of all, paper begins with the relevant concept, studies the content of team and project team. Then, we study the characteristics of cross-departmental project team characteristics and their members.Fourth, this paper constructs the cross-departmental project team incentive model. There must be relevant factors for the motivation of a team, therefore, this paper studied the general factors, then studied the impacts of incentive factors of cross-departmental project team and putted forward four key factors as the core point of this study. Based on the incentive factors in building a model, the paper further established a cross-departmental project team incentive model, and discussed the model results to clarify the different factors'influence on the strength of incentives. A preliminary theory proposed about how an cross-departmental project team leaders motivate a principal-agent team members.Fifth, this paper applied the theoretical model to actual business projects. H Enterprises is a R&D enterprise of production, cross-departmental project team incentives is what they urgently need to solve, this article get the actual production value from the enterprise, apply SPSS to verify the results obtained. This study further proved the practical significance of this paper.Finally, this paper raised innovation points of this study, and also pointed out the limitations to be further improved.
